The BIOFAIRNET project took part in the 3rd Cooperative Movement Stakeholders Conference and the 8th CUK Annual Scientific Conference, held in Naivasha, Kenya, on 22–23 July 2025. The event was jointly organised by The Co-operative University of Kenya (CUK), a BIOFAIRNET project partner, the State Department of Cooperatives (SDC) of Kenya, and Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), Tanzania.
The BIOFAIRNET project participated in the Kenya National Research Festival (KNRF) 2025, held at Egerton University, Njoro, Kenya, from 18 to 22 August 2025. Organised by the National Research Fund (NRF) in collaboration with Egerton University and the Nakuru County Government, the festival took place under the theme “Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security: Empowering Communities through Research, Science, Technology, and Innovation.”
The BIOFAIRNET project participated in the MEDLIFE International Conference, held in Naples, Italy, from 9 to 11 December 2025. MEDLIFE is an international forum that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers and stakeholders working in areas such as agricultural biology, biosustainability, circular bioeconomy, and food bioscience, with a focus on sustainable development in the Mediterranean region.

The BIOFAIRNET project participated in the 2026 edition of ECOMONDO, held from 3 to 6 November at the Rimini Expo Centre in Italy. Recognised as Europe’s leading event for the green and circular economy, ECOMONDO once again gathered thousands of professionals, industrial leaders, policymakers, and researchers to shape the future of the ecological transition.
The SUSTRACK final event, “Projects2Projects: showcasing key results, inspiring new opportunities”, brought together the European bioeconomy community on 28 October 2025 for an online session coorganised with the European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet). The event gathered more than 70 participants and marked a key moment to reflect on SUSTRACK’s achievements and to strengthen collaboration among Horizon Europe projects working on standardisation, certification, labelling, and monitoring in the bioeconomy.
On Thursday, 25 September, and Friday, 26 September, on-site meetings took place in Naples as part of the BioFairNet project. Project partners from Satec from Spain and the University of Bayreuth from Germany travelled to Naples for this important and intensive exchange – other project partners joined digitally as needed. The presence of various professions, coupled with a pleasant and personal atmosphere, led to intensive conversations and productive discussions that addressed open questions and brought urgently needed answers to light. 
The BIOFAIRNET project, represented by Unitelma Sapienza University of Rome, will take part in the final event of the SUSTRACK project titled “Projects2Projects: Showcasing Key Results, Inspiring New Opportunities”, to be held online on 28 October 2025 from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.
