On May 28, 2025, the third CleanTech Innovation Summit took place at the Cleantech Innovation Park in Hallstadt, Germany. Under the headline “Cleantech as a game changer - sustainable innovation for tomorrow”, around 200 experts from business, science and politics came together to discuss pioneering technologies and sustainable solutions.

BIOFAIRNET partner UNIFE took part in the ICA CCR Europe Conference held in Helsinki, Finland (12–13 June 2025), a flagship gathering for scholars and practitioners advancing cooperative research. Organised by the University of Eastern Finland in cooperation with the University of Helsinki, this year’s edition embraced the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives with the theme “Cooperative Identity – Who are we as a movement, as a form of organization and as cooperators?”
In the framework of the 2025 International Year of Cooperatives, the BIOFAIRNET Work Package 1 (WP1) team travelled to Trento to take part in the International Research Colloquium on Cooperatives, organised by EURICSE in collaboration with the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA CCR), EMES International Research Network, CIRIEC International, and the University of Trento.
The BIOFAIRNET project was featured during the morning session on 5 June 2025 at the 2nd International Conference on the Renaissance in Economics, hosted at the University of Florence as part of the Festival Nazionale dell’Economia Civile.
On 22 and 23 May 2025, the BIOFAIRNET project partners SATEC and the University of Bayreuth (WP3 Leader) came together for a two-day working session at SATEC’s facilities in Madrid. The purpose of this in-person meeting was to align efforts, clarify interdependencies, and define key technical components related to Work Package 3 (WP3), which focuses on the development of the BIOFAIRNET digital platform.

The BioFairNet project, short for "Bioeconomy and Circular Economy Fair Network", officially launched on January 17th 2025 with a successful kick-off meeting in Naples. The project, funded by Horizon Europe and the European Commission under project number 101181568, will run from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028, with a total budget of 4,426,170€.
