Biofairnet - CEST 2025

Energy Recovery from Waste Workshop

The workshop “Energy recovery from waste” was held by BIOFAIRNET project partner University of the Aegean under the framework of the 19th International Conference on Environmental Science & Technology (CEST) – a leading forum established in 1989 where top experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, and public-sector representatives present state-of-the-art research on current and emerging environmental challenges.

CEST is widely recognised as a platform where academia and business converge, turning cutting-edge research and innovative ideas into practical solutions for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. Against this backdrop, the workshop highlighted the growing relevance of energy recovery within integrated waste management and the circular economy.

warm thank-you to the CEST organisers and community for providing the space to share knowledge and foster collaboration. We look forward to continued exchanges that accelerate impactful, evidence-based action on environmental sustainability.
