Among the topics discussed was BioFairNet’s hydrothermal carbonisation (HTC) pilot in Lesvos, Greece, which explores innovative ways to transform biomass and organic residues into valuable resources. The pilot investigates how wet biomass streams can be processed and valorised, contributing to more circular and resource-efficient systems.

Within BioFairNet, this work contributes to the development of sustainable bio-based value chains while generating knowledge and data that support wider project activities for example the Information Green Factory.
