The SUSTRACK final event, “Projects2Projects: showcasing key results, inspiring new opportunities”, brought together the European bioeconomy community on 28 October 2025 for an online session coorganised with the European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet). The event gathered more than 70 participants and marked a key moment to reflect on SUSTRACK’s achievements and to strengthen collaboration among Horizon Europe projects working on standardisation, certification, labelling, and monitoring in the bioeconomy.
SUSTRACK’s Results and Their Relevance for Future Initiatives
The event opened with an overview of SUSTRACK’s main results, including tools, exploitable assets, and policy recommendations supporting a more coherent and sustainable European bioeconomy. The presentation highlighted the need for comparable sustainability data, harmonised standards, and stronger evidencebased policymaking across biobased value chains.

BioFairNet’s Contribution, Presented by UNITELMA, in the “Open Mic” Session
A short closing “open mic” session brought together projects such as ESCIB, SYMBA, Stand4Bio, RISERS and WoodStock, strengthening crossproject collaboration and knowledge exchange. BioFairNet was represented by UNITELMA, who contributed to the discussion by presenting the project’s mission and early insights.
Their contribution highlighted BioFairNet’s focus on:
- Developing robust and interoperable data frameworks to support fair and reliable sustainability assessments.
- Enhancing transparency and comparability across biobased value chains.
- Strengthening crossproject alignment on standardisation and monitoring practices.
- Identifying opportunities to codevelop shared methodologies that can accelerate result uptake and policy impact.
This intervention reinforced BioFairNet’s role in shaping a more trustworthy and evidencedriven bioeconomy.
Looking Ahead: Building on Shared Momentum
BioFairNet’s participation in Projects2Projects underscores the project’s commitment to advancing a more transparent, comparable, and datadriven bioeconomy. The connections established during the event will support future collaboration, joint communication efforts, and the exploitation of results across projects and policy levels.
