BioFairNet took part in the BioInvestIT Roadshow held on 11 March 2026 at UnitelmaSapienza in Rome, an initiative designed to connect circular bioeconomy innovation with investors, startups, and key ecosystem actors. The Roadshow’s Rome stop was organised in collaboration with the Department of Legal and Economic Sciences (DSGE) and formed part of a broader morning dedicated to circular bioeconomy and local value chains.
The event offered a dynamic setting where research, entrepreneurship, and investment converged, creating an ideal platform for European projects working on sustainable bio-based value chains. For BioFairNet, this was an opportunity to strengthen its visibility within Italy’s bioeconomy landscape and engage directly with stakeholders active in innovation, industry, and territorial development.
BioFairNet Presented During the European Projects Segment
Within the Roadshow programme, a dedicated session highlighted European initiatives contributing to the advancement of circular bioeconomy. BioFairNet was presented by the partner project, UNITELMA, alongside BIOECONOMY GIANTS, offering participants an overview of the project’s objectives, methodology, and expected impact.
The presentation introduced BioFairNet’s focus on:
- Promoting fair and transparent bio-based value chains
- Supporting collaboration between universities, clusters, companies, and local actors
- Identifying potential stakeholders for future project activities

A Roadshow Connecting Innovation and Investment
The BioInvestIT Roadshow, promoted as “Where Circular Bioeconomy meets Investors”, brought together startups, researchers, and investment networks to explore emerging opportunities in the bio-based sector. Presentations from academic and industrial partners showcased innovative technologies and business models, reinforcing the importance of bridging scientific knowledge with market uptake.
BioFairNet’s participation aligned naturally with this mission, as the project seeks to support the development of resilient, inclusive, and sustainable bio-based ecosystems across Europe.
