BIOFAIRNET Featured at the 2nd International Conference on the Renaissance in Economics in Florence

The BIOFAIRNET project was featured during the morning session on 5 June 2025 at the 2nd International Conference on the Renaissance in Economics, hosted at the University of Florence as part of the Festival Nazionale dell’Economia Civile.

The conference gathered leading scholars, institutions, and practitioners to explore new paradigms for an economy that is fair, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable. As part of this high-level exchange, representatives from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (UNINA)Università degli Studi di Ferrara (UNIFE), and Università di Trento (UNITN) (all consortium partners in the BIOFAIRNET project) presented key insights from the project’s ongoing work.

The presentation was delivered by Marina Albanese (UNINA) during the thematic session dedicated to workers’ cooperatives, where she highlighted the relevance of BIOFAIRNET’s approach to a fair and accessible network for reducing greenhouse gas activities with circular and bio- economy models.

In the framework of the 2025 International Year of Cooperatives, the BIOFAIRNET Work Package 1 (WP1) team travelled to Trento to take part in the International Research Colloquium on Cooperatives, organised by EURICSE in collaboration with the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA CCR), EMES International Research Network, CIRIEC International, and the University of Trento.
