One of the biggest challenges I see is the balance between short-term economic pressures and long-term sustainability goals. Many farmers are eager to adopt sustainable practices, but the upfront costs, lack of incentives, and uncertainty around market demand make it difficult.
At the same time, policymakers often face difficulties aligning regulations with the realities on the ground, while innovators sometimes struggle to bring affordable and scalable solutions to market.
Perhaps what’s most needed is stronger collaboration across the entire value chain—so that farmers don’t bear the transition costs alone, and sustainable practices are rewarded fairly.
